This one-time sleepy fishing village on the shores of Banderas Bay is certain to be a most memorable vacation spot. For those seeking action, Puerto Vallarta has it all, from a day on the links plying a challenging 18-hole championship golf course to another day aboard your charter boat, either watching the humpback whales wintering just offshore or dragging a line in the waters of one of the world's premiere big game sport fishing destinations.
Others will be invigorated with a morning stroll along the numerous beaches of Banderas Bay, with their spectacular rock formations, broken with intermittent snorkel trips into the water to explore the wonder of the colourful sea life just below its surface. PV, as it is referred to by locals, is synonymous with art and there is plenty to be found, whether at various local flea markets, tiny intimate shops or some of the finest galleries to be found on the Pacific. Visit the Saturday market at the downtown square, where local artisans display everything from fresh organic vegetables and herbs, freshly baked breads, cheeses, pastas, chutneys and salsas, beautiful tropical flowers, numerous crafts made locally, such as jewellery, clothing, sandals, all while listening to live entertainment. Visit the used bookstore across the street where they have a large selection of English books and a good cup of coffee.
And where to stay? May we suggest Villas de la Colina 2, suite 201. This masterpiece crossover of traditional Mexico and Euro-modern will serve as your private oasis in the intimate romantic zone, perched just a short walk up Amapas Mountain. Take in spectacular views of the ocean and the town including Lady of Lourdes Church and the daily fireworks display set off from deck of Puerto Vallarta's local pirate ship returning from its dinner cruise. Or take stroll for your own dinner to one of the fine restaurants nearby.
Amenities include 2 king bedrooms, each with its own full en-suite. Beautiful linens include sheets of 1000 thread-count and numerous fluffy towels for indoors and larger towels for the poolside. The enormous shaded terrace provides a dining facility complete with a Vermont Casting Barbeque. The well-stocked kitchen features new and spotless appliances, professional quality cookware, a full line of spices and condiments, The entryway, living room and dining room feature colorful blown glass lighting which provide a warm glow over the whole living room area. Mirrored walls enhance the colorful lighting throughout the living area. The mild climate and summer rains encourage the growth of lush and spectacular tropical plants in abundance on the terrace and everywhere you look. The gated entrance to the unit is completely private with a wall of palms providing shade and privacy for the walkway to the front door. Original art and custom-designed cushions and runners enhance the color and decor.
The building features a Palapa gym and your exercise regimen will continue to offer spectacular views of Banderas Bay, as does your pool only a few steps away from your front door.

The condo was just as advertised. Beautiful, well stocked with everything we needed, very clean and very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful views day and night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
We loved it ....Beautiful place wonderful location high on the hill with a gorgeous view everything was perfect. The photos of the condo we’re accurate and the patio and pool are wonderful. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to staying here again
Miriam's condo is every bit as good, or better, as the pictures make it look. The view from the balcony is to the northwest and provides a great view of old Puerto Vallarta and the ocean. The condo is very well situated - higher up for a great view and away from the hustle of PV but close enough to easily walk to the beach and downtown. We'd absolutely stay again.
Miriam provided excellent background documentation and directions - we printed off her map and used it constantly. Gus, the building manager, was there to greet us and answer any questions. At the security gate, Felix acted as a concierge and helped us every day with taxis and directions.
Within walking distance is the beach and a large number of very good restaurants (e.g. Arafran) and coffee shops. Within a short taxi ride is the art gallery district and an awesome restaurant - Café Artiste. Within 15 minutes by taxi is the Le Kliff restaurant - world class.
We only had 7 days there and, in hindsight, would happily have stayed many more
We have stayed many times in PV & Bucerias all the while renting terrific condo's. We have to say that this is one of the best we have ever enjoyed. From the amazing views, to the incredible condo and pool there was nothing to leave you wanting. The owners Miriam and her husband were fantastic to deal with and were great hosts. This condo is something that we would love to own for ourselves as it is very well looked after and the locals living there are wonderful people and easy to talk to. You'll feel very safe here and I would highly recommend it to any discriminating vacation goers. Miriam we would love to come back and hope it can happen again. Thanks so much for a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo in Puerto Vallarta. It had beautiful views and the condo itself was amazing. We loved the way the indoors became outdoors by opening all the doors/windows. The kitchen was soooo impressive, everything you could ever need, and we consider ourselves kitchen snobs and great cooks! The appliances are as modern as it gets and kitchen is fully stocked with spices and a lot of cooking staples. The beds are very comfortable and they have full American/Canadian t.v. satellite. It was great sitting on patio and watching our football games! This condo was more like a home away from home in a beautiful setting. The grounds were immaculate and the pool is nice, but does not get much sun (in case you are a sun worshipper like me). After spending our days on the beach or roaming through the shops and restaurants it was so nice to have this quiet and tranquil condo to retreat to in the evenings and escape all the hustle and bustle of PV!! My only complaint would be that the hot water runs out very very quick, I could not take full shower without turning water off between shampooing and conditioning my hair, kind of like old days of camping, but it was manageable. The condo is within 5 minute cab ride of everything PV has to offer yet far enough up the hill to have peace and quiet when you need it!! Would be my ideal long term place to stay and I hope we get to stay in this wonderful condo many more times!! The owners were great to work with too, had a few problems trying to pay them through website and they were very patient! Hopefully VRBO got that worked out! Thank you for opening up your home for us to enjoy, it was an amazing vacation!
