Dont miss the opportunity to stay at Casa Tau!When life gives you lemons . . . make lemonade . . . and the place to do that is Casa Tau in Punta Mita. You cannot find a better place to relax with luxurious amenities surrounding your every need. Beautiful landscaping and terraces sloping down to the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean provide a perfect setting for morning breakfast under the palm trees . . . after waking up to the sound of waves hitting the beaches outside your door. Amazing and tasteful new construction, handsomely furnished, outstanding staff, excellent food, best bartender in town, and wonderful owners who make certain your stay is perfection provides the perfect retreat. I could go on and on, but to get to the heart of this review, my stay was relaxing and wonderful, I didn't want to leave. Atlas, the next group was arriving soon. So, I left my fantasy vacation with tears in my eyes, but with the resolution to come back soon.Visited February 2019
Kathleen R Casa TauCasa Tau is an amazing villa! WOW!! Is best way to describe our recent stay at this breathtaking beach front home. It’s really more like a delightful boutique hotel with all the amenities that 5 star hotels offer. The entire staff headed by extremely efficient house manager Sabrina were so accommodating, solicitous and pleasant to all in our group. They just bent over backwards in anticipating your every need or want...and our bedrooms were kept immaculate. There was also the cutest chef who prepared delicious meals each night...and outdid himself with a breakfast fare that we all couldn’t wait for each morning. This Casa is an architectural wonder. The attention to detail everywhere is incredible. From the time we entered the front gates we were captivated by the beauty of the landscaped grounds...green, lush and meticulously manicured. And the lawn leading to their private beachfront so inviting as was the “to die for” infinity pool that looked out onto the ocean, and from where you could hear the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. It was such a peaceful and glorious scene each evening at sunset as we sat on the spacious thatched roof terrace sipping margaritas and enjoying delectable Hors d’oeuvres. The little town of Punta Mita was full of activity and precious boutiques every where. We loved our shopping forays into town, which was just a few minutes away. However, leaving Casa Tau for any extended period should not be on your agenda as this place is so fantastic with so much beckoning you to remain right there. I could go on and on about our stay at Casa Tau... it’s just “over the top” in every way. You would not regret any minute being here. I highly recommend anyone to treat themselves and a group to a most enjoyable adventure and reserve a time to be a guest at Casa Tau. Jodi S2 Perfect paradise in Punta MitaWe spent five incredible days here in January. This home provides spectacular beauty, serenity and a staff that caters to every imaginable want and need. The staff meets you at arrival with cold drinks and from that minute on you are pampered beyond belief. The home is so quiet, private and has amazing beach access and long wide beaches to walk. Architecturally, it is unlike any place I have ever seen. The detail of each room and furnishings are simply spectacular and the lush landscaping is breathtaking. The chefs are highly trained and the food is not only delicious but so beautifully prepared. There are many things to do in and around Punta Mita, but honestly once you have arrived at Casa Tau, it is difficult to leave.Visited January 2019
khulburd Best Beach on the BayWhere to start? Casa Tau will take your breathe away from the moment you arrive. My fiancé and I were greeted with a yummy raspberry virgin cocktail. It was delicious, and when I asked if they could add some tequila, they happily obliged. This house is flawless in its design, and you won't realize how big it is unless you've got a house full of people coming down for dinner all at once. The whole house centers around a glorious Higuera Blanca tree, which stands among many beautiful native trees on the property. The trees are a major design element in the house, and they compliment the clean lines of the home's architecture. Everything in this home is carefully thought out. There is a gym, a sort of play room with pool and ping pong, and a cinema. The air conditioned living room makes for a nice place to cool off during the warmer months, but we were there in November, and the temperature outside was delightful. Every room has two private showers, one indoor and one outdoor- I highly recommend the outdoor shower! And there are lovely seating areas throughout where you can have breakfast or play a game of cards. Attention to detail is also provided by the staff who are readily available to offer assistance in any way. They are truly top notch, and the service far surpasses even the most fastidious of luxury hotels. Sabrina can help you with anything you need. Javier is an angel; he will make you laugh, and more importantly, he will make you the best margarita you've ever had. Javier's wife Lucy is one of the chefs, and her food is dynamite. Her chiles rellenos with shrimp. Period. Aside from a great deal of time spent in the ocean, we spent time in the pool, which was heated to our liking, and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. Bocce ball was our favorite late afternoon activity- both on the regulation court and out on the lawn. The incredible staff brought us cocktails on the lawn every night while we played and watched some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It was hard to leave the house, alas there is more to explore in Punta de Mita (believe it or not). We had some extraordinary adventures during our week stay. I went horseback riding most mornings at Vista Paraiso in nearby Higuera Blanca, where a top notch trainer provides jumping lessons and trail rides through the jungle. Meanwhile, my fiancé played golf at Bahía and Pacífico in the resort, which is accessible via a tunnel under the main road, so you can drive a golf cart there if you want to. In the afternoons we went kayaking into the village or fishing out in front of the house from the kayak, which proved successful on our last day. All I can say is, if you have the chance to visit this one-of-a-kind home, do it. You will be so happy that you did!Visited November 2018
private luxuryMy Family and I just returned home from Casa Tau, where we passed the most memorable holiday of our lives. There is no way to properly describe the quality of this property or the privacy afforded by its beach and two acres of landscaped grounds. The beauty of its design and the quality of the construction make Casa Tau stand out from anywhere else that I have stayed. Beyond that is the level of service! The extraordinary staff is discrete while still being attentive and welcoming. The two chefs and their staff easily meet the highest of international standards and had us eagerly making use of the many activities here, just so that we would be able to do justice to the next meal. The array of activities is simply staggering. Along with one of the best swimming beaches in Punta Mita, There are the pool and spa off of the living room, a regulation bocce court, billiards, all types of water sports along with a full gym and spa. In our ten days, we were not able to make use of all that the house had to offer, let alone those activities within the Punta Mita resort, which include: golf, tennis, pickle-ball, yoga, beach clubs and boating. Casa Tau has a once in a lifetime feel that will have you pining to return again and again.
