Casa de las Palapas

Las Palapas is located just south of busy downtown Puerto Vallarta on the Bay of Banderas only minutes from fine dining, nightlife, whale watching and shopping bliss. Nestled amongst Conchas Chinas' rugged shoreline and swaying palms sits this beautiful Mexican villa which is a short twelve-minute drive south from the airport and a ten-minute drive from the marina. Beautiful panoramic views of the continuing coastline and the expansive bay greet you morning or night wherever you may be throughout this estate.

Escape the fast paced world through ornate, hand-carved wooden doors into a sunlit courtyard, which includes a furnished palapa-covered sitting area where you can stare out at the ocean or watch a sunset amidst the relaxed garden setting.

As you cross the courtyard and move towards the house you will pass the two-bedroom casita with separate bath and kitchen for the two live in staff members.

Observe the gently flowing stream and waterfall along with an abundance of greenery and bright flowers as you cross a small footbridge and enter the Grand Room.

Stroll into a spacious, marble tiled, fully furnished living room consisting of two levels under a huge, varnished palapa.
A full wet bar invites guests to have a welcoming drink.
Sweet sounds are emitted from a multi-speaker stereo system as you and your guests gather around the large, upstairs cocktail table or down a few steps at the full sized pool table.
Chat with friends or watch a movie or game on the TV/DVD on the couch, or enjoy the tropical breeze on the balcony procuring a spectacular 180-degree view of the ocean, pool, rocks, and swaying palms.
Enjoy dinner with the entire family or friends on the balcony while seated at the adjustable marble dinning tables.
Just off the upper level is the Chef's Kitchen, complete with commercial range, side-by-side refrigerator, huge center island work area and endless cabinets brimming with every cooking need.
A powder room completes the grand room's amenities.

As you leave the Grand Room, use either the grand spiral staircase or climb into the cable car, both provide access to this sprawling estate. Covered walkways marked with dozens of flowering tropical plants enable guests to meander from room to room and level to level.

Two charming ocean view rooms, one with a king size bed, the other with two single beds (convertible to a king) provide the perfect dwellings for friends and relatives. Both rooms are furnished with private en-suite showers; phone, large closets and quiet, remote controlled, air-conditioning.
A refrigerator, discreetly placed in a corner of the long, ocean view terrace, holds snacks and refreshments for in-between meal consumption or midnight raids.

Enter the master suite through a tastefully done wrought iron gateway, which provides complete privacy and security.
The suite features an ocean facing king size pedestal bed along with two sitting areas between cascading stairs and flooring of white marble.
Relax to the sounds of the ocean on the shore only one hundred feet away. Or open the full- length glass doors and sink into either the sofa or two lounge chairs nestled on the 150-degree ocean view veranda and take in the cool evening breeze.
The adjoining his and her bathrooms provide luxurious bathing in fully tiled tubs. Each bathroom leads to its own ample closet/dressing area. A small refrigerator is at your disposal.
Mornings can be spent with your coffee or tea, taking in the view from either sitting area.
The master suite is furnished with TV/DVD, phone, and air-conditioning to make your stay a pleasant one

Guestroom #4 comes complete with a Spinet piano and air-conditioning.
Relax on the queen size bed while you listen to wave after wave roll in or view the whimsical wall painting orchestrated by one of Puerto Vallarta's local artists.
After a refreshing bath or shower, step into the spacious walk-in closet and dress for an evening spent relaxing on the terrace beneath the large shade tree or head into town for dinner and dancing.
A few steps away are the ocean terrace, kitchen and pool.

Located directly across the roomy patio from guestroom #4 is guestroom #5. This spacious room offers a glorious view of the nearby Bay of Banderas through its large picture frame windows. Relax on the king size canopy bed while the ocean breeze laps over you or cool down even more with the help of the dual air-conditioning units. Converse with friends and relatives around the coffee table surrounded by a couch and two easy chairs or escape through the back door to the inviting flower gardens. A double hide-a-bed completes the room.
A short stroll will take you to the ocean terrace, kitchen and pool.

Stroll down a few stairs from guestrooms #4 & #5 to the pergola-covered Ocean Terrace, where you will find a wonderful, oceanfront, outside living room suitable for year round use. Enjoy the tranquility of watching each wave over a meal served out of the fully equipped kitchen just a few feet away. This terrace kitchen is perfect for providing meal service to the pool, pergola and lower level areas. It contains a side-by-side refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, stove and microwave.
Several steps below the Ocean Terrace is the Breakers area, which offers a romantic patio right at water's edge.

Relax in the circular, heated, fully tiled pool with family or friends while a waterfall cascades from above. An adjoining palapa covered Wet Bar and Entertainment Area make it possible to enjoy a meal or drink without changing your location. Ample pool deck space set amidst the surrounding rocks lends itself to sunbathing on chaise lounges or to curling up with a book under an umbrella as waves roll onto shore a few feet below.

Pool Room
Down a few steps from the Ocean Terrace, is a charming, palapa-roofed cabana which opens directly to the pool, complete with bathroom and shower along with a single hide-a-bed. The poolroom can be used as a changing room, an extra bedroom or to simply offer a place to escape from the sun and freshen up.

By special request, we also make arrangements for airport transfers, baby sitting, massages, mariachi bands chauffered cars and flower delivery for that special occasion.
