Located in the East Animas River Valley only 1.8 miles from Durango, this property is on a quiet county road where you can walk, jog or bike for miles! The views are incredible in every direction.
This is a small cabin but it is very well appointed with everything that you need. There is a king size bed in the private bedroom and a sofa sleeper and small loft in the living area. Outside of the living area is a cute enclosed porch, perfect for enjoying the cool summer evenings. Satellite TV is connected to 2 LCD TV screens.
Watch the rock climbers in the distance on the dramatic rock outcroppings or hike up there yourself on your own private hiking trail! The views are incredible in this beautiful river valley and the property is loaded with beautiful pine trees!
Enjoy the convenience of being close to Durango restaurants and activities, while still in a quiet, cozy setting. Experience the beauty and magic of Mesa Verde, skiing at Durango Mountain Ski Resort or taking the historic train ride on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad! Enjoy Durango!
The setting is very nice, your in the country at the base of some foothills but only minutes from the convenience of Durango. Has all the essentials needed for your stay and is very well maintained. Lana is easy to work with and answers quickly if needed. So many things to do in the area whether its the summer or in the winter. Look forward to coming back again the future.
The property is a nice quiet countryside location at the base of a mountain and is a very short drive into Durango proper. It was as described and is a great place for a quiet getaway. It has all the amenities, is clean and has both an enclosed porch and outside table. The only (minor) concern is that the Wifi signal is weak. Rick S.
The cabin was a perfect getaway! We truly enjoyed the space and location. We found everything we needed tucked inside this adorable little cabin. We loved the screened in porch area and spent a lot of time enjoying the cool night air and in the mornings having our coffee and listening to the sheep that live across the street. Feeling like you are away from it all but being so close to downtown was a huge plus! Lana was so easy to work with! I recommend this cabin for your Romantic getaway! Lisa M.
The location of the cabin was great - close to downtown Durango and not far from heading up into the mountains. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and in a fairly quiet location (did hear some farm animals from across the road but that was pleasant!). Our favorite part of the cabin was the screened-in porch and we enjoyed relaxing there in the mornings. Lana was great to work with and communicated with us well regarding our stay. We only wish the cabin were a little larger - it is fairly small but did have everything we needed. We recommend the 3 minute drive down the road to Bread - wonderful baked goods to take home to eat in the screened-in porch!
My husband and I had a very romantic vacation in this sweet little cabin. It was private but within minutes to great food and the down town. We spent our days enjoying the many hikes nearby, the beautiful scenery at every new bend in the road and liked that we could save money and cook our own meals if we wanted to. So many options to eat out. Picked up groceries at PJ's market down the road. Enjoyed the most delicious bread, pastries & coffee at Bread less than 5 minutes from the cabin. Especially enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch when it rained. Hope to go back soon.
The property is very quiet and extremely clean. The king side bed is very good and quite comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner is very responsive to any requests or concerns. The cabin is quite small but the screened porch is a nice added bonus. The location is very convenient to Durango. We had thought the property would lend itself to more trails and woods to explore than it did. We enjoyed the Durango-Silverton Train ride very, very much and would recommend as a must to any visitor to the area. G. & D. Cox, Santa Fe, NM
