Absolutely amazing property and views.
We stayed at this awesome property over Easter. A blending of several families, the house was perfect for us! Plenty of sleeping areas, as well as living areas and yards and balconies. Great for large groups. The views were amazing!! The house felt very private and had everything we needed! The kitchen is more than stocked with anything you could possibly need! The house was also very clean and the beds were super comfortable. A super short drive to the one of the best beaches we've ever been too! Great size and hardly anyone there....and got to watch people riding horses and the dolphins playing in the surf. The owner checked on us the first night to make sure we had gotten into the house and that we had everything we needed. Overall, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We will be back next year! Glorious views, quaint town
We had a family reunion here, and it couldn't have been a more delightful spot. Glass everywhere allowed everyone to enjoy the fabulous ocean views and always be aware of what was going on where. The hot tub on the terrace overlooking the sea was a great favorite. We brought a great deal with us, much more than we needed to, as the house had plenty of dishes, cookware, etc. As it was a Christmas reunion, we were very touched that the owner, who was very good to work with, had placed poinsettias and other decorations about the house, and she didn't mind that we brought in our own decorations as well. The town of Summerland is very small and charming, with antique shops, pleasant dog-friendly cafes, and a great beach. You can also take a local bus into Santa Barbara if you don't have a car. Highly recommended!

Nice House
We stayed in this house in the beginning of August 2013. We enjoyed the unique layout of the house, which has great natural light and outdoor exposure. The open air concept was enjoyed by my family of 7 for a week. The grill and jacuzzi were very nice and the town of Summerland has a lot of CA type charm. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach. We spent most of our time in Santa Barbara proper which was very close by car. The owner was gracious and very cooperative and we had a very good stay.

Awesome location and stunning views!
Our family of four had a wonderful stay in this comfortable Summerland home. The home is so spacious and sunny with unbeleivable views from almost every room. The house was immaculate upon oour arrival and we made good use of the well tocked kitchen and hot tub on the deck. The owner was terrific to work with and we will most definately be back!

Fantastic Property in Excellent Location
My family stayed here (two college age sons and a middle school daughter) for a week, and never ran out of things to do. The beach down the hill is very clean and quiet - and a short walk from the home. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot to relax. We spent many days walking both to the beach, into Summerland (lots of nice shops and places to eat), and the hills behind the property. If you are looking for a quality home, great views, well-tended gardens, and a great home base from which to explore Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Ojai, this is it! The home is absolutely huge, and would be a great place for a business retreat for a small company. The negative comment below is far off base - you are renting a person's home, not a hotel - seasoned VRBO travelers will understand this. Most things will exceed your expectations (the view, the floor plan, the spa), and if there are a few minor details that don't, just roll with it. We will definitely be back! Family Vacation
My family stayed here last week. The views are amazing from every room, especially the master bedroom and living areas. I loved the way the house was set up as everyone could be on different levels and never felt crowded. We were a family of eight so that isn't always easy. There are so many outdoor areas to sit and relax. The town was quaint and charming. We ran to the beach every morning. The hill back up to the house was great exercise. Andrea was great to work with and very available. We had a great experience and would return!

We rented this lovely house for a family reunion and will likely be repeat renters.The owner met us at the property to show us around. Everything was spotless and yard was manicured. So many indoor and outdoor areas for a large group that you never felt crowded. The house has 4 bdrms and numerous other sleeping areas. Close to freeway for access to SB, the zoo was great and the municipal golf course was an outstanding value! Last but not least the beach views from the decks and patios are to die for!

What a lovely Summerland home; wonderful ocean views from all of the four levels (five if you count the drive-up). It boasts a jacuzzi on the deck looking out at the ocean. The sauna, jacuzzi, bathrooms kitchen, and laundry were clean and well stocked, all ready for use. This house was very large with more than ample room for entertaining or just relaxing for my getaway vacation. The owner called me back immediately when I called with a question. This vacation rental feels like a home away from home; very cozy and warm when the fog came in, and sunny and cool when the temperature flared. The beach is an easy walk down the hill, and Montecito and Santa Barbara are just a bit down the road. I’m already recommending this vacation rental to my friends and family.

Beyond Satisfied!
This marvelous home is one of the best we've ever stayed in. It's comfortable, close to downtown Santa Barbara, and superbly maintained. The reviewer who complained about dog feces and the hot tub not filled with water must have be confusing this place with something else...the new jacuzzi on the deck outside the master bedroom overlooking the ocean is to die for. I will definitely be staying at this rental again and again.
